The owners of Little Brook Farm
    are Jeff and Carol Mace.  
    Carol is also the instructor at
    the farm.

    Carol is a very experienced,
    knowledgeable and dedicated
    horse-person.  She has over 20
    years experience in riding, teaching, showing and training.  
    Carol started out riding the hunter circuit and equitation
    shows in suburban New York with a large show barn when
    she was a teenager. While riding and showing in NY, she    
    also started teaching to younger students under the guidance
    of her instructor. Then as a young adult, she expanded her
    riding to involve hunter paces, dressage and Eventing.   She
    moved to Shirley, Maine in 1994,
    where she got married and started a
     family. After her children got a bit
     older, she decided to start her own
     business with horses.  This is where
     Little Brook Farm began.

    Carol's riding career, through her
    lifetime, has been very successful;
    with many awards, ribbons and
    year-end points being earned.

    Carol has certification in teaching beginners and children to  
    intermediate, and is striving for more advanced
    certifications, along with her continuing education with more
    advanced instructors, training,
    clinics, and showing.  She is also
    CPR and First Aid Certified.

    Through all the years Carol has
    been involved with horses, she has
    also been working as a Veterinary
     Technician.  She has extensive medical knowledge about
    small and large animals, which comes in handy around the
    barn.  She is very knowledgeable about equine nutrition and
    it's effect on disease,and prevention of disease.

    Carol's main area of interest is in Eventing, or also called   
    Combined Training; which is dressage, stadium jumping and  
    cross-country jumping.  She is an active member of MeCTA,
    which is the Maine Combined Training Association, and has   
    achieved two awards for winning her division two years in a
    row in 2003 and 2004 in the State of Maine.
