Leasing a horse gives you an idea of what horse ownership is about without the full
    responsibility or cost.

    It's also a GREAT opportunity to develop a relationship and bond with a horse that
    isn't possible when you're just taking lessons.

    It's an ideal situation for someone who wants to ride more often, and spend more
    time with a horse, but may not have the time or financial means to buy and care for
    a horse of their own.  It's also good to lease a horse before you buy one for a
    child................if they lose interest, or outgrow the horse, the lease is simply
    terminated, and your responsibility for a horse is over.

    Horses Available for Lease:
    **Available in the Fall only
    Little Brook Farm is offering a partial, on-property
    only lease on our Appendix Quarter Horse,
    (qh/tb x),....."Devyn".  He is extremely well-trained,
    has impeccable manners on the ground and under
    saddle. Good for beginners to advanced riders,
    does dressage, jumping, western, driving, lessons
    and trail. "Devyn" has competed successfully in show jumping on the East coast from
    Canada to Florida, and is also a successful eventer in state. He is used in our lesson
    program for all skill levels and ages.  He's a "been there, done that" horse!! He  is very
    sweet, kind and gentle.  He is a "black beauty" that stands 16.1 hands tall, and is in his
    mid-twenties. He is sound and is still showing at lower levels with limited jumping.  
    "Devyn" has A LOT he can teach you!!


    We are also offering a partial lease on our American Warmblood (Draft x)....."Lexi".
    She is 6 years old, 16.1 hands tall and also a "black beauty".  A very nice horse.  
    She can w/t/c nicely, jumps, dressage, and trail rides.  She has been to several shows
    and events this Summer, and is doing very well!!  She has a ton
    of potential.  We have done lessons with more advanced
    riders with her, and my daughter, who is 13, rides her
    and did a couple of shows very well and easily.
    No beginners please, she needs an experienced rider
    so that no bad habits develop.
    On-property lease preferred.
      

    Costs and Terms:
    This partial lease will include:
    Up to 3 practice rides per week
    All necessary tack (saddle,pads,girth,bridle,boots etc.)
    Care of horse (veterinary,farrier,daily care etc.), is provided by farm.
    $200 per month.....Must take one lesson per week.
    (Lessons are discounted for leased horses).
    **An interview and assessment will be conducted prior to signing lease agreement to
      ensure a good match for horse and rider.
    ** Little Brook Farm reserves the right to use leased horses for lessons, shows and
      trail rides etc.
    ** Little Brook Farm reserves the right to terminate the lease contract at any time.
